Alan Pardee Announces Over $1,100,000 Raised in Race for Open NY-12 Congressional Seat
New York, NY — Alan Pardee today announced that his campaign for New York’s 12th Congressional District has brought in over $1,100,000. It’s a clear sign that New Yorkers are done with political insiders and ready for a candidate willing to break the mold. The strong fundraising cements Pardee as a leading contender in the race to succeed retiring Congressman Jerry Nadler.
“Our campaign is powered by people who are fed up with a political class that doesn’t deliver for regular people,” said Pardee. “New Yorkers are facing an affordability crisis, a housing crisis, and a crisis of trust in government. I’m running to change that. I’ve helped create jobs here in New York, promoted small businesses and I’ve committed my life to helping marginalized New Yorkers get ahead. I am running to shake up a broken status quo, hold powerful interests accountable, and fight to make this city livable again.”
Pardee is the son of a Dominican immigrant and a New Yorker, and was born and raised in Manhattan, growing up on New York’s Upper East Side. He’s led a successful career in finance, co-founded a global business and helped other entrepreneurs to build their successful businesses and create tens of thousands of good paying jobs right here in the city and around the country.
Throughout his life, Pardee has worked to tackle some of the biggest challenges facing his community - especially those surrounding issues of hunger and food insecurity that impact one in three New Yorkers. Alan has been an active volunteer and board member for New York Common Pantry, where he’s helped to raise millions of dollars and helped to support programs that reduce hunger while promoting dignity, health and self-sufficiency for every New Yorker.
